An org-wide rollout of AI-assisted coding (Claude Code) is the primary driver of the increase in output. AI-assisted commits now represent 63% of all work produced – up from 9% in Q1 2025. The correlation between AI adoption rate and per-developer output improvement is r = 0.83: teams that adopted faster improved faster.
AI-assisted work is also more complex – those pull requests are 1.9× more complex than non-assisted ones. The team is not just producing more. It is producing harder work at the same rework rate.

Work that took over a week to reach users now reaches them in under two days. This is the combined result of parallelized CI pipelines, trunk-based deployment, and automated rollback. The pipeline bottleneck that was throttling AI-generated code throughput has been removed.
